The Pennycress Genomics project at the University of Minnesota was established in 2012 through a collaboration between Professor M. David Marks (UMN - Plant Biology) and Professor Don Wyse (UMN - Agronomy and Plant Genetics). Kevin Dorn, a PhD student in the UMN Plant Biological Sciences Graduate Program led the sequencing, assembly, and annotation efforts for the pennycress transcriptome and genome.
